How to Use Post-Call SMS in Gail

Post-Call SMS allows you to automatically send a follow-up text message to customers after a call. This can be used for actions like sending appointment links, auto quotes, or follow-up resources.

1. Create a Text Template

  • Before setting up Post-Call SMS, you must first create a Text Template.
  • Follow the steps outlined in the [Creating a Text Template Guide].

2. Navigate to a Script

  • Go to the script where you want to add a Post-Call SMS:
    • For Outbound Campaigns, open the script from the Outreach > Scripts tab.
    • For Inbound Calls, open the script under the Receptionist tab.

3. Find the Post-Call SMS Section

  • Scroll to the bottom of the script page.
  • Locate the section labeled Post Call SMS.

4. Add a Post-Call SMS

  1. Click the + Add button.
  2. Two fields will appear:
    • Text Script (the SMS template to send).
    • Description (when the text should be sent).

5. Select a Text Script

  • Use the dropdown in the Text Script box to choose the SMS template you want to use.

6. Add a Description

  • In the Description field, type when this SMS should be triggered.
  • Example: “When a customer asks how to add a user, send them this text.”

7. Save Your Script

  • Once completed, click the Save Script button at the bottom of the page.

You’ve successfully created a Post-Call SMS action.

Now Gail will automatically send the chosen text message when the defined condition is met during or after a call.
